Feedback
Workshop
2:45 pm – 4:45 pm.
This workshop gives you the chance to get feedback on a piece you’ve been working on or have completed. We’re excited to be offering these feedback workshops to Guild members—they won’t be the standard type of critique workshop. Rather, we’ll be using the WOW (Working on Our Work) workshop style that is led by a facilitator but peer-based, in which we all learn from one another. The emphasis is not focused on “critique” but rather "feedback". The writer is in total control on what feedback s/he receives. Participants respond to the writers questions so that the writer can see the impact of what s/he wrote. Participants do not try to “fix” another person’s art/writing. More information about the process will be sent to you when you register. All styles/genres welcomed. (min 3; max 6)
Cost: $6.00

Program Room 2B, second floor
Have you
ever tried writing a poem about a painting or sculpture you love? How about
composing one about a piece of abstract art where you can invent the story or
jump off from an evocative title? Remember during childhood when you looked at
a painting and imagined a whole new world? “A picture is a painting without
words,” Horace once said. Please join us in exploring several poems by
well-known poets based upon art and in creating one of your own. No experience
necessary.
The workshop will be led by Doris Lynch and Nancy Long.
